ARAB, AL (WAFF) - A man is in custody after a 10 mile car chase that started in Morgan County and ended in Marshall County.
Deputies said the incident began on Hulaco Road. The pursuit continued onto Mat Morrow Road, where authorities attempted to lay down spike strips. The chase finally came to a halt on Evermore Lane in Arab.
A deputy suffered minor injuries during the arrest. He was treated and released at the scene.
A man and a woman were inside the vehicle. Authorities arrested the man, 46-year-old Brian Keith Kennedy. The woman is not being charged in the case.
Deputies found that Kennedy was in possession of three ounces of meth worth a reported street value of $4,000.
Kennedy was charged with trafficking meth. He was transferred to the Morgan County Jail on $5,000 bond.
