VALLEY HEAD, AL (WAFF) - Two men were arrested and charged with the home invasion androbbery of a Valley Head man.
On Feb. 14, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office received acall about a robbery north of Hammondville. The victim reported to officersthat two men forced their way into his residence, knocked him down, and heldhim. The victim also said he was taped up to limit his mobility, and severalitems were taken from his residence including prescription medications,firearms, knives, and a large sum of cash. The victim was transported to DeKalbRegional for treatment, and later transported to Memorial Hospital inChattanooga.
A search warrant was executed in Walton County Georgia onWednesday by Investigators from DeKalb County and Georgia officers.Investigators arrested Jeffrey Tyler Harrison and Matthew Graham Tillman oncharges of robbery. Harrison was placed in the DeKalb County Detention Center,and Tillman was arrested in Walton County Georgia, and scheduled to beextradited to Alabama. Both men had bond set at $60-thousand.
Sheriff Jimmy Harris stated, "Our officers have workednon-stop on this case for over 2 weeks. I am so proud of the job they have donein making these arrests. The victim in this case is still in the hospital, andwe hope to see him up and about soon. I know his family has been helpful inthis case, and also very understanding about what we needed to have asuccessful prosecution. The District Attorney has been with us every step andwe are glad to get this case to this point. The Georgia officials were great towork with, and I would like to say how much we appreciate the help from SheriffJoe Chapman in Walton County and his entire staff."
