MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Morgan County investigators released new information about a high-speed chase through Somerville and Union Hill.
The chase began when a woman noticed a man on her property on Turney Ridge Road. The woman pulled out a gun and fired a warning shot into the ground after the man refused to answer questions about why he was there.
The man got into a truck and sped off. The truck wrecked about ten minutes later after a chase with police.
Investigators identified the man as 37-year-old James Kent Lambert of Auburn. Deputies say he is a convicted felon and had a handgun, stolen property, and a switched tag in the truck.
Lambert is charged with a slew of traffic offenses and felony gun possession. He is in the Morgan County Jail awaiting bond.
