TRINITY, AL (WAFF) - A Lawrence County couple was arrested on multiple felony drug charges on Wednesday.
Sheriff Gene Mitchell said drug agents searched a residence in the Trinity area and arrested Phillip Zeigler, 43, and Andrea Black, 31.
The sheriff said that agents found a large quantity of crack cocaine, prescription pain pills and a quantity of marijuana that had been packaged for resale. Sheriff Mitchell said neither Zeigler nor Black could provide a valid prescription for the pain pills, which included Oxycodone, Endocet and two types of Hydrocodone pills.
Deputies said Zeigler and Black were each charged with five counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. They were booked into Lawrence County Jail on a $12,000 bond.
