SECTION, AL (WAFF) - The search of a house led to three people being arrested and charged with drug crimes.
Jackson County deputies and drug agents executed a search warrant at a residence on Highway 35 in Section on Wednesday.
On Tuesday night, authorities found a small amount of meth during a traffic stop on County Road 42 in Hollywood; deputies said Christopher Lance Burks, 33, of Section and Hannah Marie Greczkowski, 33, of Scottsboro were in the car during the traffic stop. This discovery led to the search of Burks's house on Wednesday.
During the search of the house, deputies and drug agents said they found approximately 85 grams of meth "ice," Clonazepam, a shotgun and a rifle. Charity Dawn Hester, 32, of Section was present at the house.
Burks was arrested and charged with trafficking meth and possession of controlled substances (meth) and drug paraphernalia. Hester was charged with trafficking meth and possession of controlled substances (Clonazepam). Greczkowski was charged with possession of controlled substances (meth) and drug paraphernalia, as well as promoting prison contraband, since deputies said that meth was found on her person after she had been booked.
Sheriff Chuck Phillips said the amount of meth discovered is three times the weight needed to charge someone with trafficking. "There were some smaller packages that had already been pre-packaged that appeared to be for resale," he said.
Burks and Hester have not had their bonds set yet, but Greczkowski was released on a $15,500 bond.
