HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Free flu shots will be provided to Madison County residents next month. The shots are coordinated by the Madison County Commission and the Madison County Health Department.
They will be given at clinics around the county and are available to everyone over 6 months of age. Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Advantage or private insurance cards should be presented for possible reimbursement to the state of Alabama.
Those with bad colds, coughs or fever, Guillain-Barre syndrome, a severe egg allergy or an allergic reaction to a flu shot should not come to the clinics for the shots.
The places, dates and times for the shots are:
Oct. 1 - 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., District 1 Office, 9457 Moores Mill Road, New Market, Commissioner Roger Jones.
Oct. 2 - 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., District 3E Office, 4273 U.S. 72E, Brownsboro. Commissioner Eddie Sisk
Oct. 3 - 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monrovia Community Center, 254 Allen Drake Drive, Huntsville, Commissioner Phil Vandiver.
Oct.7 - 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., Madison City Council Chambers, 100 Hughes Road, Madison, Commissioner Steve Haraway
Oct. 8 - 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., Robert "Bob" Harrison Senior Wellness and Advocacy Center, Pulaski Pike, Huntsville, Commissioner Bob Harrison
Oct. 9 - 9.a.m – 2 p.m., Bobo Fire Station, 7982 Old Railroad Bed Road
Oct. 10 - 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 12200 Bailey Cove Road, Huntsville, Commissioner Phil Riddick.
