JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - A Jackson County man pleaded guilty to felony dog fighting charges Monday.
Christopher Eugene Allen was sentenced to 10-years in prison which was suspended by the judge. Allen will serve nine months in the Jackson County Jail followed by a year of house arrest and four years probation.
Allen cannot own a dog while on probation. He must serve 100 hours of community service at the animal shelter.
Allen turned himself in to authorities after 10 pit bulls were taken from a property in Hollywood earlier this year.
