HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - An admitted killer is scheduled to be in court Friday for an arraignment hearing in connection to a Huntsville murder.
Shaffer is already serving multiple life sentences after he admitted to killing five people in Lincoln County, Tennessee in 2009.
Friday he will go before a judge for an arraignment hearing for a sixth murder that police say he committed on the same day in Huntsville in 2009.
Shaffer is serving time for killing his estranged wife, Tracie Shaffer, along with her 16-year-old son, her son's friend, her father and her brother.
Friday's hearing is in connection with the murder of 50-year-old, Sidney Dempsey. Dempsey was found beaten to death inside Hall Marble Company in Huntsville.
Madison County prosecutors have previously said they will seek the death penalty in the Dempsey case.
Shaffer's actual trial is set for April 29th.
