HARVEST, AL (WAFF) - Sheriff's deputies and SWAT team officials responded to a home on Wall Triana and Fords Chapel Road on Sunday morning, and one suspect in connection with the incident is on the run.

Officials said three people who were wanted in connection with a robbery on Gardendale Road locked themselves in their home.

Sergeant T.A. Miller said the suspects were involved in a home invasion and robbery at a home on Gardendale Road around 3 a.m. Sunday. They were reportedly masked and armed.

The suspects did not get away with any money but they did steal property.

One of the victims at the home recognized one of the suspects and alerted police. Officials were dispatched to 102 Alternate Harvest Road in Harvest.

Three people ran into the home, turned off the lights and locked the doors. One of the suspects refused to give himself up to authorities, so they had to force entry and use tear gas to detain him.

No injuries were reported.

They are still looking for one person in connection with the robbery.

Police said they did find property at the home that is tentatively being identified as the stolen items.

No names have been released.
