HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A Huntsville City Schools teacher was arrested Saturday on theft charges.
Jenifer Cooper, a second grade teacher at J.E. Williams Elementary School, was arrested after she allegedly shoplifted more than $1,500 worth of merchandise from a Kohl's department store.
Cooper posted a $2,500 bond earlier this week.
A representative with the school said they are unsure at this time if Cooper will be placed on administrative leave or not.
