LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - The man accused of pistol whipping and tying up an elderly man in his Lauderdale County home was arrested.

44-year-old Michael Wayne Holloway was arrested and taken into custody Wednesday. Officials said the victim was Holloway's uncle.

Officials determined from the attack that the offender must have known the victim. Investigators said when they interviewed Holloway, he admitted to the beating and robbery and said he was in a financial crisis.

Deputies said Holloway busted in the front door to his uncle's home last week demanding money. He tied up the 84-year-old man with electrical tape, pistol whipped him and left with several hundred dollars.
