2 men receive jail time for armed car-jacking

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Two men were sentenced to jail time after a 2011 Huntsville car-jacking.

Cameron Byrd was sentenced to 33 years three months in prison and Ernest Starks was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The car-jacking took place May 2011 in the parking lot of Liquor Express on University Drive. Reports said that the men forced the victim to drive the vehicle while they held a gun to his head. On the same night, Starks drove Byrd to the Victory Food Mart on Pulaski Pike where Byrd robbed the store at gunpoint.

Thomas Flowers was also involved in the food mart robbery. He pleaded guilty in January.
