DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - Two elderly people were taken to the hospital after a head-on collision just west of Decatur.

Officials say the wreck happened around 10:20 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Modaus Road and Thurston Park Road.

77-year-old James Keeton of Moulton was driving a pick-up truck when it collided with a car driven by 78-year-old Betty Morgan of Decatur.

Kenton was taken to Decatur General. Morgan was taken by med-flight to Huntsville Hospital. She is currently listed in critical condition.

State Troopers say both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
