Man sentenced for stealing from church members

A Hazel Green pleaded guilty to theft by deception for stealing money from church members.
Phillip Story pleaded guilty to 11 counts of first degree theft and one count of second degree theft for stealing money from members of Plainview Church of Christ.
Story was ordered to pay court costs and $336,200 in restitution.
He also received ten years for each count of first degree theft to be served concurrently. He received an additional ten years for the second degree theft charge to be served consecutively.
Story was taken into custody immediately after sentencing.
