Sheriff asks for help finding Lincoln County church thieves

LINCOLN COUNTY, TN (WAFF) - Sheriff's investigators in Lincoln County need your help to track down a group of church thieves.

Authorities say the burglars have hit several churches in the county over the last few weeks.

They've mostly been taking things like flat screen TV's, computers, and other personal items. The sheriff thinks they could possibly use the stolen items to steal identities.

He also said that all churches should look into a security system.

"I believe the churches, it would serve them well to keep a close eye on their facilities, also, surveillance systems, there's nothing wrong with putting a surveillance system in a church," said Lincoln County Sheriff Murray Blackwelder.
