The arrival of more vaccine is enabling the Madison County Health Department to schedule four more flu shot clinics.
The additional vaccine has health department officials raising their goal for dispensing free flu shots to 6,000 after reaching their old goal of 5,000 vaccinations in October.
The four additional flu shot clinics in Madison County are being scheduled for November 8th, 10th, 15th and 16th. All the shots are free to county residents age six months and older but people with Medicare, Medicaid and/or Blue Advantage are asked to bring their cards with them.
The November 8th clinic is scheduled from 9:30am-3:30pm at the Heals Clinic on Pulaski Pike in Toney.
The November 10th clinic will be held Thursday afternoon between1:00 and 4:00 at the Monrovia Community Center on Allen Drake Drive. Health Department workers will be vaccinating people for the flu Tuesday November, 15th at the District One County Shed On Moore's Mill Road in New Market.
The fourth and final flu shot clinic is set for the District Three County Shed on Walnut Street in New Hope.
