Decatur Firefighters were called back out to a fire early Friday morning after it rekindled.

The original fire broke out Thursday around 5 p.m. on Everett Drive Southwest.  When firefighters arrived they found 85-year-old Agnes Stevenson on the floor and took her to Decatur General.

Neighbors say Stevenson remains in critical condition. The neighbor said after calling 911, he tried to enter the home, but could not get through the door.

The woman had lived in the home for over 45 years and that she was always helping her neighbors.

When the fire rekindled Friday morning, firefighters on the scene said flames were coming out of the roof.

Lt. Craig Livingston said that due to the hotter temperatures, "more aggressive and it was much more difficult to put out."
