Krystal to donate money to murder victims' families
DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - At a news conference Tuesday morning, Krystal officials said they are donating money to the families of two employees who were gunned down at work last week.
Police said 50-year-old Jeff Graff and 23 year-old Jesse Jose Aguilar were killed during an armed robbery at the 6th Avenue Krystal restaurant Wednesday, August 24.
Decatur Police said Jordan Creque, Cassandra Eldred, and Ezekiel Gholston killed the two employees and took money from the business. They are all charged with capital murder.
During Tuesday's new conference, Alan Wright, Executive Vice President for the Krystal Company, said they will donate $5,000 to each of the victims' families. They are also donating 100 percent of all sales at the Decatur store on Wednesday to the victims' families and matching up to $5,000.
Wright said opening the store will help employees get back into a routine and help the community and company move forward.
Donations can also be made to the families at any Redstone Federal Credit Union location.
