A four-vehicle wreck at the intersection University Drive and Jordan Lane tied up traffic Friday morning and sent two people to the hospital.

A Huntsville fire truck was involved in the accident. It also involved an 18-wheeler, an SUV and a pickup truck.

Huntsville police said the fire truck was traveling eastbound on University Drive at Jordan Lane and struck the SUV traveling southbound on Jordan Lane. The SUV driven by 50-year-old Carolyn Milton then struck two more vehicles.

Police said the fire truck was responding to an accident with injuries call at the time of the accident and was using lights and sirens.

Mike Sublett with Huntsville Fire said no firefighters were injured. Two people in other vehicles were taken to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

Police continue to investigate the accident.
