Jordyn Elston is a general assignment reporter for WSFA 12 News and is based in Auburn.

She is a Birmingham native, but moved to Troy to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism at Troy University.

While at Troy, she served as the student news director for Troy TrojanVision - the student-run newscast, and as the public relations chair for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Jordyn was awarded the Southeastern Journalism Conference Best Hard News Reporter award in 2017 and the Best Television Anchor award in 2016. She graduated summa cum laude with her bachelors degree in broadcast journalism from Troy University in May 2017. She earned her masters degree in strategic communication from Troy in May 2018.

In her spare time Jordyn likes to watch HGTV, drink sweet tea, and spend time with her family and friends.
