Jeff joined the WAFF team in November 2022. Born and raised in CT, Jeff enjoyed weather at a young age like most current Meteorologists.
The "Blizzard of '78, Hurricane Gloria and Hurricane Bob are all weather events that had a huge impact on Jeff and motivated him to pursue
a career in Meteorology.
For the past 7 years, Jeff has been the Chief Meteorologist at WLNE-ABC6 in Providence, RI. Jeff has also worked in Cheyenne, WY, Peoria, Il and Rye, NY.
Jeff has been a Meteorologist for nearly two decades and has a B.S. in Geosciences with a concentration in Broadcast & Operational Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
When not forecasting the next big weather maker, Jeff enjoys a round of golf, bowling and time spent in his gardens.

Happy Friday and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! For the rest of the afternoon, showers end, temps drop and breeze increases. temps drop into the 40s by evening. Tonight, a Freeze Warning. Temps around 30°. Looking ahead to Saturday and Sunday, plenty of sun on both days, but the temps will remain cold. Temps around 50° on Saturday and Sunday with overnight lows in the 20s. Another Freeze Watch has been issued for Sunday morning with cold temperatures expected. Spring arrives Monday, but it will not feel very “Spring-like”. Temps will be in the low 50s after a cold start with sunny conditions Monday. There is a chance for showers Tuesday through Friday. Temps will warm throughout the week. High temps in the 60s and 70s.

For this afternoon, increasing clouds, breezy and mild. Temps in the 60s. Showers likely tonight, mainly afteer 10 P.M. A few rumbles of thunder, but not expecting "severe" weather. Light to moderate rain overnight. Low temps in the 50s. St. Patrick's Day, a wet and rainy morning commute. Morning temps close to 60°, but temps fall into the 40s by 5 P.M. Showers will also impact the evening commute and move out of the area during the evening from West to East. More cold for the weekend with highs in the lower 50s even with abundant sunshine. Sunny and still cool this afternoon. Another cold night tonight. Frost and freeze expected with temps dipping into the 30s. . Protect your plants again. Thursday’s highs will be back in the middle 60s with a mix of sun and clouds, a breezy south wind with gust over 20 miles per hour. Thursday will be the "Pick of the Week". Rain showers and isolated storms will roll in late Thursday night and stay with us most of the day on Friday, showers will wrap up and should leave us dry for Friday evening. Rainfall totals for Thursday and Friday will likely be in the 1/2 to 1 inch range. Another shot of colder air comes in for the weekend with highs in the lower 50s, at least we will stay sunny and dry both days. Freezing conditions will be expected for Sunday and Monday morning. This afternoon, gradually more and more sunshine with each hour. Breezy and cool, Frosty tonight with clear conditions. Mid to upper 30s. After a frosty start Saturday morning, any sun early will give way to clouds during the afternoon. Showers move into Northwest Alabama around 5 to 6 PM and spreading eastward. Rain showers and isolated storms will be likely overnight into Sunday morning with periods of heavy rainfall. Daylight Saving Time will begin Sunday morning with clocks moving forward one hour, be sure to change the batteries in your smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and NOAA Weather Radios. Sunday looks pretty wet in general with additional rounds of rain showers expected through the morning and afternoon. Next work week will start off sunny and dry with high temperatures staying well below average in the 40s to middle 50s for Monday through Wednesday. A freeze is in the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday morning, so please protect or cover any sensitive plants and vegetation.

This afternoon, mostly cloudy with scattered showers for locations west of I-65. High temps around 60 degrees, winds will be breezy from the northeast. Scattered rain showers will start to develop into Wednesday afternoon and evening, rainfall totals should be fairly light and the best rainfall coverage will be west of I-65. A few showers will linger overnight with cloudy skies and lows in the middle 40s again. Thursday looks to be overcast with periods of scattered to numerous rain showers, this will be cold rain too with temps staying in the 50s. The heaviest rainfall looks to move through Thursday night into early Friday. Friday will be a bit warmer with highs in the lower 60s, scattered showers and storms will be expected through the morning and early afternoon before drying out and clearing out by Friday evening. The weekend will also be fairly cool with high temperatures in the 50s and 60s for Saturday and Sunday, showers will be expected late Saturday and through the day Sunday. A 48 First Alert for tonight, Thursday and Friday. This afternoon, hazy sunshine, warm and humid. Temps in the 70s. Tonight, strong to severe thunderstorms. Heavy rain, damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes possible. Storms arrive around 7 P.M. for locations West and will move East through midnight. During the overnight, the severe threat will lessen, but heavy rain and flash flooding will be a concern through the Thursday morning commute. Thursday, heavy rain early, scattered showers and storms during the afternoon. Thursday night, another round of strong to severe thunderstorms. All modes of severe weather possible. The line of storms will move across our area through Friday morning. The thunderstorms will exit the area quickly, but strong winds will continue all day. The winds on Friday could gust as high as 50-55 MPH. Strong enough to knock trees down and power outages possible. Once the winds diminish during the evening, quieter and a more pleasant weather pattern for Saturday and Sunday. Sunny both days, high temps in the 60s.
