Cam Derr joined the WAFF 48 Sports team in August 2023 as a Sports Anchor/Reporter. She is a graduate of Emory & Henry College where she was a pitcher for the Wasps softball team. Through four years on the diamond, Cam competed in three NCAA regional tournaments and, in her senior season, was a part of the winningest team in program history, ranked No. 13 nationally.
A Charlotte, North Carolina native, she comes to the Rocket City from the state of hockey; Duluth, Minnesota where she worked as the Weekend Sports Anchor at KQDS Fox 21.
Cam is excited to be back in the south where football is king and can’t wait to tell the stories of all the best talent in the Tennessee Valley!
