Laura has become a violent and very large hurricane. It is a Category 4 storm with winds of 150 mph. Overnight, Laura will bring life threatening storm surge of up to 20′ in some coastal areas of southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana.
Cloud cover will gradually move out this evening leaving us with a chilly Sunday morning with temps in the middle 30s. Groundhog Day on Sunday will be unseasonably warm with high temperatures nearly 15 degrees above average with highs in the mid to upper 60s.
