Brad graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Atmospheric Science in May of 1995. In 2005, Brad was awarded the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society. Brad joined the weather department of WAFF in November of 1996.
Eric Burke joined the WAFF 48 First Alert weather team as the weekend meteorologist in September 2017. Eric comes to Huntsville from WTVQ in Lexington, Kentucky and is excited to call the Rocket City home.
Abigail is originally from southern Illinois, growing up in a small town east of St. Louis, Missouri. Abigail attended Eastern Illinois University where she obtained a B.A and B.S focusing on Broadcast Meteorology.
Brandon graduated with a B.S. in Meteorology from Valparaiso University, in northwest Indiana, in 2012. His career started off at FOX 21 News in Duluth, MN working there for 10 months before moving onto KDLT News in Sioux Falls in 2013. Brandon joined the WAFF 48 First Alert Weather Team in 2017.
Haley joined the WAFF 48 team in February 2018. Her news career spans 15 years in Television News and freelance medical journalism.
Trent Butler is an award-winning Anchor/Reporter with more than 20 years of experience. Trent and his family are excited about exploring everything Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley have to offer.
Liz Hurley is an Emmy award-winning broadcast journalist, bringing more than three decades of authority, credibility and sensitivity to the air in her role as Main Anchor at WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Alabama. She currently anchors the 4, 5 and 6pm weekday newscasts and covers NASA and now the burgeoning commercial space industry.
Margo Gray has served the Tennessee Valley for WAFF 48 since September 2009.
Nolan Crane is the weekend evening anchor and reporter for WAFF 48 News. He came to Huntsville after being the morning and midday anchor in Lincoln, NE for more than four years.
Kellie Miller joined the WAFF 48 News team in June of 2020. She’s lived all over the United States due to her father’s job in the military. From Key West to Seattle, Kellie calls many places “home” and credits her curiosity and love for storytelling to her upbringing. Caroline joined the WAFF 48 News team in November 2019 as a reporter and multimedia journalist. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in journalism. After graduation she moved to northern Michigan to work for 9&10 News. Caroline is excited for a break from the snow she had in Michigan.
Megan Plotka grew up right here in the Tennessee Valley but started her journalism career down in New Orleans. She's excited to get back and report on the issues important to you
Stefanté Randall joined the WAFF 48 News team in November of 2019 as a reporter. Before moving to Alabama, Stefanté was a multimedia journalist for our sister station KTRE 9 News in Lufkin, TX. While in Lufkin, she covered life changing events, including the devastating tornadoes in Alto and shined a light on issues in the community.
Madison Scarpino joined the WAFF 48 News Team in November of 2020. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi in Broadcast Journalism with an emphasis in Cinema and Film Production. You can watch Madison on WAFF 48 News weekdays reporting from our Decatur bureau!
Kailey Schuyler joined the WAFF 48 News team in January of 2021 as a Morning Reporter. Kailey is a graduate of Lipscomb University. She grew up in Spring Hill, TN, but is excited to call Huntsville her new home. Look for Kailey weekdays at 5 and 6 a.m.
DeAndria’s no stranger to the South. She was born and raised in Gautier, MS. She graduated from the University of Mississippi with a B.A. in broadcast journalism and a double minor in African American studies and English in May 2020.
For the last ten years Sports Director Carl Prather has called the Tennessee Valley home! National Championships, Iron Bowls, High School State Championships, and some of the best stories that capture the community of North Alabama, Carl enjoys looking for the next “story” daily.
Georgia is a 2021 graduate from the University of Georgia. While in college, she spent a semester in Washington, D.C., interning with the Investigative Team at ABC-7 News, slipping over to the sports desk when she could. Georgia also has experience as a freelance journalist and covered AAU basketball in the Southeast.
Wade is a graduate of the University of Alabama. He started his news career in Atlanta, GA in 2011. Before coming to WAFF 48, he spent over six years reporting news in Birmingham.
Kelsey is a graduate of Mississippi State University. Before coming to WAFF 48, she completed an internship at iHeartMedia and Hail State Productions. Kelsey worked in multiple roles with Take 30 News at MSU including reporting and behind the scenes.
Payton Walker serves as the anchor/host of WAFF 48’s lifestyle show, Tennessee Valley Living, airing weekdays at 11:00 a.m. Payton grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Shanika Wright is the producer for Tennessee Valley Living. Before coming to WAFF48, she worked in North Florida as a news and web producer for two and a half years.
Jacqueline Policastro created the Gray Television Washington News Bureau in 2014. She’s covered Congress and the White House for more than a decade.
Ted Fioraliso returned to Washington, D.C. in April 2016 as a senior reporter/executive producer at the Gray Television Washington News Bureau.
Peter Zampa joined the Gray Television Washington News Bureau in June 2015 as a multimedia journalist.
