Brad graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Atmospheric Science in May of 1995. In 2005, Brad was awarded the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society. Brad joined the weather department of WAFF in November of 1996.
Eric Burke joined the WAFF 48 First Alert weather team as a meteorologist in September 2017. He has over a decade of experience working in broadcast and covering severe weather. Eric is a member of the American Meteorological Society and earned the AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal of approval in 2015.
Abigail is originally from southern Illinois, growing up in a small town east of St. Louis, Missouri. Abigail attended Eastern Illinois University where she obtained a B.A and B.S focusing on Broadcast Meteorology.
Chelsea Aaron is an Alabama native and was honored to join the WAFF 48 First Alert weather team as a meteorologist in April 2022. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.A. in Communication and Information Sciences in 2019. Shortly thereafter, she went on to receive her M.S. in Geosciences from Mississippi State University in 2021.
Haley joined the WAFF 48 team in February 2018. Her news career spans 15 years in Television News and freelance medical journalism.
Gina Benitez is a born and raised South Floridian but has lived all over the country and she’s thrilled that her newest adventure led her to The Tennessee Valley. Watch Gina every weekday morning at 5 & 6 a.m. You can also see Gina anchoring WAFF 48 News at Noon.
Liz Hurley is an Emmy award-winning broadcast journalist, bringing more than three decades of authority, credibility and sensitivity to the air in her role as Main Anchor at WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Alabama. She currently anchors the 4, 5 and 6pm weekday newscasts and covers NASA and now the burgeoning commercial space industry.
Margo Gray has served the Tennessee Valley for WAFF 48 since September 2009.

Kellie Miller joined the WAFF 48 News team in June of 2020. She’s lived all over the United States due to her father’s job in the military. From Key West to Seattle, Kellie calls many places “home” and credits her curiosity and love for storytelling to her upbringing. Nolan Crane is the weekend evening anchor and reporter for WAFF 48 News. He came to Huntsville after being the morning and midday anchor in Lincoln, NE for more than four years.
Marisa Gjuraj graduated from the University of South Carolina in May 2022 shortly before joining WAFF 48 News. While she was at UofSC, Marisa was a member of the Student Gamecock television station. Marisa is from Tega Cay, South Carolina. She enjoys exploring the city of Huntsville.
Matthew King joined the WAFF 48 News Team in June 2022. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and interned for WLVT in Knoxville, TN. Watch Matthew weekday evenings as he reports from the Huntsville metro area.
D’Quan Lee joined the WAFF 48 News team in March 2022 as a Reporter/MMJ. He’s a graduate of Alabama State University with a degree in Communications with a concentration in radio & TV. He started his career in sports as a play-by-play broadcaster for his alma mater, announcing football and basketball games for the Hornet Sports Network.

Georgia is a 2021 graduate from the University of Georgia. While in college, she spent a semester in Washington, D.C., interning with the Investigative Team at ABC-7 News, slipping over to the sports desk when she could. Georgia also has experience as a freelance journalist and covered AAU basketball in the Southeast.
Wade Smith's news career started over a decade ago in Atlanta, GA. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama. Before coming to WAFF 48, he spent over six years reporting news in Birmingham. Wade lives in Cullman with his wife Megan and son Moses.
Nick is a December 2021 graduate of West Virginia University. While working towards a journalism degree, Nick served as the assistant sports editor at the student newspaper. Nick joined the team in March of 2022 and is originally from Cleveland, OH.
Charles is a December 2021 graduate of West Virginia University. While earning his degree, Charles served as the sports editor for the WVU student newspaper, the Daily Athenaeum. Charles also completed a summer internship in 2021 for ESPN Louisville radio.
Javon Williams graduated from the University of Alabama in May 2022 and joined WAFF 48 in July 2022. During her time at Alabama, she was a sports reporter for the Crimson White newspaper and WVUA 23.
Payton Walker serves as the anchor/host of WAFF 48’s lifestyle show, Tennessee Valley Living, airing weekdays at 11:00 a.m. Payton grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Shanika Wright is the producer for Tennessee Valley Living. Before coming to WAFF48, she worked in North Florida as a news and web producer for two and a half years.
Anna Mahan joined the WAFF 48 News team in August of 2020.

Ted Fioraliso returned to Washington, D.C. in April 2016 as a senior reporter/executive producer at the Gray Television Washington News Bureau. He has more than 15 years experience in television news -- mostly covering politics.
