HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A Madison County man’s murder charge has been dismissed.
Silus Harris pleaded his case earlier this week, claiming he shot Tovaris Mason while defending himself after the two got into an altercation in 2022.
Defense attorney Chad Morgan says this was a big win for Harris and his family.
“He immediately erupted into tears, he was completely ecstatic about it,” Morgan said. “It’s just a big relief for him and his family.
Morgan said the judge in the case gave Harris immunity in the case, nullifying the murder charge against him.
