BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - UPDATE: The woman involved in an incident with Denver Broncos star Jerry Jeudy asked a judge on Friday to dismiss the charges against him, saying she never felt threatened during the ordeal, according to FOX News.
The Denver Broncos wide receiver and former Alabama standout was arrested Thursday, according to Arapahoe County Sheriff’s deputies.
FOX News said the judge didn’t immediately dismiss the case Friday. Jeudy was released on a personal-recognizance bond and is allowed to travel.
Attorney Harvey Steinberg told reporters after the hearing Friday it was “extreme” for Jeudy to spend the night in jail, according to reports.
Thursday the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department tweeted, “Professional football player Jerry Jeudy has been arrested by Arapahoe Co sheriff deputies. He’s being held at the Arapahoe Co jail on charges of 2nd degree criminal tampering w/a domestic violence enhancer, a misdemeanor. He’s on a no bond hold. He’s innocent until proven guilty.”
