Happy Friday! TGIF and TGI drying out!

Showers are coming to an end out there this morning as a cold front passes through the Valley. Behind the cold front is much colder air which we are already feeling in some communities. Temperatures this morning are ranging from the mid30s into the upper 40s from west to east across the Valley. A few isolated showers may be possible at times this morning but, for the most part, we will dry out the remainder of the day. Wind is breezy this morning leading to chills into the upper 20s and low 30s in some spots, but the wind will calm as we move through the remainder of the day. Skies should clear and we will have some nice sunshine this afternoon, but don’t expect a whole lot of warmth. Highs this afternoon will stay a few degrees above or below 50.

Overnight we will see more clouds develop and that could even bring in a few isolated showers or sleet pellets in some spots. Temperatures will drop into the low to mid 30s into Saturday morning. Saturday looks gloomy for much of the day, as temperatures will stay stagnate into the mid 40s with a north wind at 5 to 10 mph. Late Saturday into Sunday there will be another influx of moisture rolling in after 8pm or 9pm. Rainfall will push in from the west, and unfortunately it looks like we will have another round of a soaking, heavy rain. Showers will last for the first half of Sunday before we dry out. Right now, it looks like the temperatures should stay in the upper 30s and low 40s, which should keep it as all rainfall. Local flooding may be possible once again with the potential at another 1/2 to 1 inch of rain.

The good news is once we dry out Sunday afternoon we will stay dry through the rest of the week. Temperatures will warm day by day and the first few days of March will be into the mid 60s!
