Hartselle man charged in Huntsville bank robbery
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - UPDATE: Huntsville police have charged the man involved in Wednesday’s bank robbery at the Regions Bank on Airport Road.
According to HPD, 39-year-old Daniel Wayne Morgan was located at a residence in Hartselle by HPD Violent Crimes Investigators and the FBI North Alabama Violent Crime Task Force.
WAFF 48 is told the Hartselle Police Department, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest and helped execute a search warrant at the residence.
Morgan was booked in the Madison County Jail Friday evening with a $30,000 bond.
ORIGINAL: Huntsville officers are investigating a bank robbery on Wednesday morning.
Around 9:30 a.m. on December 1, HPD was notified about a potential bank robbery at the Regions Bank on Airport Road.
HPD released the following images of a suspect wanted for questioning and the vehicle believed to be involved following the robbery. The suspect is not in custody. Anyone with information on the robbery or suspect is asked to contact Huntsville Police at 256-722-7100.
Police say that cash was stolen, but will not say how much.
Huntsville Police Violent Crimes Unit Investigators are working with the FBI North Alabama Violent Crime Task Force on the investigation.
According to a spokesperson from Huntsville City Schools, a secure perimeter was briefly placed around the campus of Huntsville High School due to precautions related to the bank investigation.
