FLORENCE, Ala. (WAFF) - The University of North Alabama announced they will host vaccine clinics for employees and eligible community members.

University Heath Services said they will administer the Moderna vaccine, which they received from the Alabama Department of Public Health.

“UNA is pleased to be able to give back to the local community in this way,” said Dr. Kimberly Greenway, Vice President for Student Affairs. “We have worked hard to implement and maintain health and safety guidance on our campus, which we hope has also had a positive effect on the greater Shoals area. We are excited to take the next step in helping to mitigate the virus by offering the vaccine to the local community.”

The first and second dose will be administered in the Guillot University Center from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

1st dose vaccination dates:

  • March 15, 16, 18
  • April 17, 18

2nd dose vaccination dates:

  • April 12, 13, 15
  • May 15, 16

“We appreciate the support and efforts from the Alabama Department of Public Health in making vaccine available to UNA,” said Sheena Burgreen, University Health Services Director. “We look forward to contributing to the state and national efforts by vaccinating not only our campus but also by helping to vaccine members of our community.”
