Happy Tuesday! Pack some patience and slow down this morning!
We are waking up to a very chilly start this morning. Temperatures have fallen into the upper 20s and low 30s across the Valley. These chilly temps means that some of us may be seeing some black ice out there on the roadways after yesterday’s rain & snow. Don’t be surprised if there are multiple slowdowns this morning for the ride to work. Especially watch out for bridges and overpasses. As the day goes on the sun should help melt that ice away and warm our temperatures into the md to upper 40s this afternoon. Wind today will be from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph, meaning our wind chill will likely be into the upper 30s and low 40s for much of the day.
Tonight will be even colder as we expect temperatures to fall into the low to mid 20s for Wednesday morning. This means a thick frost may be possible Wednesday morning along with some fog. IF fog does develop that could create more issues by being freezing fog. From there we will warm into the upper 40s and low 50s into the afternoon. Thursday will be much warmer into the mid to upper 50s ahead of another cold front which will sweep in overnight into Friday. Right now, it looks like we could see some areas of rain and maybe even snow flurries with that, but it does not look to be terribly impactful.
