MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. (WAFF) - Firefighters from multiple fire departments spent hours in the cold this morning battling a house fire on Spring Drive in Muscle Shoals. According to Brick Hatton Volunteer Fire Chief, one firefighter was injured during the job.

Volunteer Chief Cody Bond says one female firefighter was injured while on the scene and taken to the hospital for her injures. WAFF is told she is doing okay now.

Firefighters from at least five departments assisted in putting the fire out on Spring Drive this morning, and say no one was inside the home when the fire began.

Firefighters did describe the house as a total loss.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time. Officials from the Brick Hatton department say they will turn the investigation over to the Colbert Fire Marshal.
