HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Wade Waldrop moves from one Class 7A team to another. The Jets Head Coach was named the Florence Falcons new Head Coach today.

Waldrop spent 8 seasons with James Clemens, winning 54 games. He was named Class 7A coach of the year in 2019.

Waldrop took over the jets in 2013 posting a 2-8 record. The Jets only had one other losing season under his direction, winning at least 7 games six of his eight seasons. His best record came in 2015 where he won 10 games and won a playoff game. Last season the Jets finished 8-3.

Waldrop and the Jets have produced 36 College Football players since 2015. Waldrop heads to Florence who missed the Playoffs last season.

Coach Will Hester resigned as Head Coach after three seasons where he finished 16-16.
