GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - We’ve heard from health leaders, kind gestures mean the world to frontline healthcare heroes.
Marshall County churches and organizations are rallying together to show their support.
On Tuesday, 300 lunches were provided to healthcare workers at Marshall Medical Centers North by Café 336.
Church members from Connect Church and staff from The Foundation of Marshall Medical Centers boxed up lunches.
Organizer, Mark Brickey said after seeing other churches come together to give back, he decided to organize free meals for frontline workers and their families.
He said most importantly, it’s an opportunity to show support and help boost the morale of healthcare workers.
“I actually had to go to the doctor on Sunday and it was just amazing how late they were there and people waiting to get in afterwards. Everyone I’ve talked to, it’s just been devastatingly hard on them and we have a lot of doctor friends and it’s just a lot of stress on them when we are losing people,” said Brickey.
Healthcare workers will receive free lunches and family pack meals to take home for the next 4 weeks.
