A warm and breezy night with a cold front on the way

Wednesday Night Forecast

After a warm and breezy evening, a southwest wind will blow overnight and keep temperatures in the middle 50s.

A cold front will move in Thursday morning and the wind will shift to the northwest. This front will bring in a reinforcing shot of cool and dry Fall air. Afternoon highs will be in the lower 70s Thursday. Cooler air will continue to move in all day and by Friday morning temperatures will drop into the lower to middle 40s.

Afternoon highs Friday and Saturday will only be in the middle to upper 60s. No rain is expected through Sunday morning. Rain chances will increase Sunday afternoon.

We are forecasting only light rain showers late Sunday into Monday morning. Much cooler air will move in again on Monday. This will most likely be the last cold front for a while as we are seeing signs of a warm-up in about 10 days. We are monitoring for possible tropical development that could move into the southern Gulf of Mexico by the middle of next week.
