MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WAFF) - UPDATE: The 9-year-old boy involved in Sunday’s ATV crash in Morgan County was released from the hospital the same evening.
The boy’s mother confirmed he was doing fine with some bumps and bruises. His mother also said that an emergency helicopter landed near the scene, but it was decided he was in a condition safe enough to travel by ground instead.
The accident occurred around 6 p.m. on Sunday.
ORIGINAL: A Morgan county ATV crash sent a child to the hospital Sunday evening.
WAFF is working to learn the child’s condition after he was involved in a four-wheeler crash. First responders say the 9-year-old flipped the four-wheeler and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
The crash happened near Gum Springs Road and Community Lane.
