HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - If you ever drive through Athens, you probably know about the very bumpy railroad crossing at Elm Street.
Crews will work on it Wednesday to dig the tracks out and repave.
“It’s in terrible shape. If you go through there in a small car, you better be buckled down because it’s awful,” said Mayor Ronnie Marks.
Marks says they should finish in a few days.
In the meantime, you are advised to avoid that area.
