Elkmont man arrested in relation to Monday’s Limestone pedestrian crash

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WAFF) - UPDATE: WAFF has obtained more information on a pedestrian being struck in Limestone county on Monday.

A 2016 Jeep Patriot struck a 76-year-old Athens woman. A witness followed the vehicle until a Limestone deputy could stop the vehicle. Pendergrass was the driver of the vehicle.

Troopers arrested Jason Pendergrass, 37 of Elkmont, on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and not having a driver’s license.

No further information is available at this time.

ORIGINAL: The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office says a vehicle struck a pedestrian on Elk River Mills Road near the intersection of Highway 99.

Deputies say the driver left the scene and was found at another location.

The pedestrian has been transported via ambulance.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating.
