DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WAFF) - Wednesday evening, multiple agencies called off the search for a missing person at Buck’s Pocket State Park in the Grove Oak area.

Witnesses say a car was washed away while trying to cross a bridge around 2:30 p.m.

The Alabama Law enforcement Agency says the search was postponed due to darkness and the swift current.

Weather permitting, search crews will continue Thursday.

This is the same area where 18-year-old Koy Spears was swept away and killed last year.
