HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Huntsville police have arrested a man in connection with a deadly weekend shooting in north Huntsville.
32-year-old Terryous Crutcher is charged with murder in the shooting death of his brother, 20-year-old Tevareous Crutcher.
Officers say Terryous Crutcher shot his younger brother in the chest during an argument. It happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday on Williamsburg Drive.
Terryous Crutcher is currently being held without bond.
Their uncle, Cornell Martin, said Tevareous Crutcher was rebellious at times and may have been under the influence Saturday night when his older brother shot him. He said it caused the younger sibling to be disruptive and violent.
Martin said Terryous Crutcher is very remorseful. He said the older sibling was trying to protect his mother and himself when the situation escalated.
