Wednesday: Breezy & cooler despite afternoon sunshine

Happy Wednesday! We are seeing some areas of showers and storms move through the Tennessee Valley this morning as changes are ahead.

The cold front that moved in overnight will fully pass through this morning and that bring in cooler and drier air for the afternoon. Wind will be breezy for much of the day today, gusting from the northwest at 10 to 20 mph, even as high as 25 mph. Clouds will be with us for a bit to start the day, but they will clear out as we move into the afternoon. Despite plenty of sunshine, our afternoon temperatures are only expected to climb into the low to mid 60s.

Overnight into tomorrow will be quite chilly. Wind will die down overnight and skies will be clear. That means temperatures will likely fall into the low to mid 40s, possibly even into the upper 30s. Thursday afternoon looks cool as well with temperatures into the mid to upper 60s. The warmer temperatures will creep back in for the weekend with a chance of rain by Saturday.
