Weekend temperatures dropping into the 60s

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The first half of the day Friday will be quiet with mostly sunny skies. Clouds will start to grow in coverage Friday afternoon, especially in northwest Alabama.

Friday’s highs will be in the mid-80s.

A change in temperatures comes at the end of the week. A cold front will march through Friday evening into Saturday morning.

Saturday’s high temperatures are projected to be in the mid-60s, which is actually below average. Sunday is also expected to see highs in the 60s.

The work week ahead will be around average or below, rising somewhere in the 70s.

The cold front will not only bring cooler weather but wet weather. The next shot for showers and storms comes Friday evening, overnight, and into Saturday morning. Most rain should be gone by midday Saturday as the front moves out, tracking southeast. A few isolated showers are possible Sunday afternoon.

Rain chances stay isolated to scattered for the first half of the upcoming work week.
