Hartselle Kroger robbery suspect in custody
HARTSELLE, AL (WAFF) - Authorities have caught the man accused of robbing the Kroger on Highway 31 in Hartselle Wednesday morning.
Hartselle police say the suspect entered the store at about 10:35 a.m. and demanded money. Police say he stated he had a gun and would shoot the clerk. He got away with around $2,000 cash.
There was an hourslong manhunt following the robbery.
Hartselle police took the lead, working with five other agencies to find the suspect.
Police say the man ran away from them, after he wrecked his vehicle on Longhorn Pass.
They eventually found him within their search perimeter after someone told police they might have seen the suspect on Mountain View Drive.
Priceville, Hartselle PD, and Morgan County Sheriff’s Office responded. They saw the suspect, chased him into the woods and arrested him.
Londell Ramone Nunn Jr., 27, of Decatur, Georgia, was charged with first-degree robbery and given a $60,000 bond.
