HPD: Pick-up truck driver at fault in wreck that injured 7

7 injured in wreck involving dump truck, Huntsville city bus, pickup truck

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Huntsville authorities say three vehicles collided at Jordan Lane and Oakwood Avenue Monday afternoon.

Huntsville Police released a statement on Tuesday explaining what happened in the wreck. According to police the driver of a pick-up truck failed to yield while making a left turn on a solid green light and was hit by a dump truck. Police say the dump truck overturned after hitting the pick-up and slid into a Huntsville City bus. Witnesses on-scene told WAFF the same narrative on Monday.

Huntsville Police say the the pick-up truck driver is at fault in the wreck but police don’t anticipate filing any criminal charges.

A passenger on the bus sustained critical injuries but has since been stabilized.

Six other people were also injured, two of them seriously. It is not clear which vehicles they were in.

All of those hurt were adults.
