TVA likely won’t raise electricity rates, president says

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - The Tennessee valley Authority will likely not raise electricity rates, according to TVA president Jeff Lyash.

Lyash said TVA should be able to avoid wholesale rate hikes over the next 10 years.

TVA rates are passed directly to all customers in the Valley, which means you won’t see a rate increase due to TVA.

TVA’s board is scheduled to adopt its rates schedule at a meeting later this month.
