HARVEST, Ala. (WAFF) - A lot of volunteers turned out to Saturday morning to give the needy a helping hand.

Refuge Church joined forces with Huntsville Hospital and several local businesses for a mobile food pantry at Harvest Elementary School.

Organizers say they helped out the needy with 20,000 pounds of free food, plus health care, haircuts and encouragement.

More than 30 teachers volunteered to help make it a success.
