DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - A three-vehicle crash on Point Mallard Parkway left one person dead on Wednesday.
The crash happened just west of Refuge Headquarters Road shortly before 11 a.m.
Police and the county coroner identified the victim as 27-year-old Malloree Teague. The cause of death was blunt force trauma.
Police say Teague was going south on Point Mallard Parkway, also known as Alabama 67, when she hydroplaned and lost control of her Dodge Challenger. She crossed into oncoming traffic and hit an Infinity sport utility vehicle before being hit in the driver’s door by a Chevrolet Silverado in the northbound lanes.
Teague was pronounced dead at Decatur Morgan Hospital shortly after.
The Silverado’s driver was taken by personal vehicle to Decatur Morgan Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
