Good Saturday, Tennessee Valley! Showers and storms are expected this weekend. Today, there could be a shower or two this morning, but activity will be heightened during the afternoon.
Clouds and rain could help keep highs from getting too hot. Most afternoon temperatures should peak into the upper 80s. Tonight should be quiet for most, but round two for storms comes to wrap up the weekend Sunday. Some of these storms could be strong at times, including locally heavy rain, strong winds, and frequent lightning.
A front bringing cooler (not as hot) and drier air from the north will move through late Monday. Out in front of the front, thunderstorms will develop. Showers and storms will fire off through the day Monday. After the front passes, a pleasant change will take place. Drier air will replace the muggy conditions, sunshine will make a comeback, and temperatures will be slightly below average. The light at the end of all of this rain will last through the rest of the workweek.
