The weekend kicks off with dry conditions and a mix of sun and clouds. A southerly flow today will push in warm and humid air from the gulf. This change in air
mass will help to create showers for the start of next week. Today will be a nice day. Highs will peak into the upper 80s this afternoon. Dew points will rise into the 60s, which is not that bad, but more saturated air will make it into the Tennessee Valley just in time for Father’s Day. Dew points rise into the 70s Sunday, and isolated showers and storms are possible during the afternoon and evening. It will not rain everywhere, so no need to cancel any plans with dad, but just have an umbrella handy.
The next work week will be an unsettled one. Moist air will stick around through the week ahead, and showers and thunderstorms remain possible even until the next weekend. Highs will peak into the mid to upper 80s and lows will dip near 70°.
