(WAFF) - Above normal heat continues for the rest of the week.
Overnight lows will fall into the upper 60s, but Thursday cranks up the thermostat once again as highs will rise into the low to mid 90s. The work week wraps up in the mid 90 with plenty of sunshine.
This weekend is going to be an incredibly hot one. Mornings will begin near 70 degrees, and highs will rise into the upper 90s with heat index values near exceeding the century mark.
With “feels-like” temperatures around 100 degrees, remember to take extra caution when spending time outside. Stay hydrated, take plenty of breaks, and wear light colored and loose fitting clothing.
Memorial Day brings little change. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with a slim chance of a scattered shower. Temperatures will be in the mid 90s by the peak of the daytime heating.
Rain chances next week stay small, giving little relief from the heat. A few showers are possible next Wednesday and Thursday, but afternoon highs are still expected to elevate into the low 90s.
