Happy Monday! Crank up the A/C because we are in for a hot stretch of weather!
It is a very warm start to the day today with temperatures into the mid to upper 60s with a few isolated showers. Storms should be gone before sunrise for most folks and skies will clear out as we move throughout the morning. With that sunshine we are expecting more of that heat today and the summer-like heat will be here in the Valley all week long. Today will be the coolest day of the week with temperatures into the mid-80s, but that humidity will be there to keep it uncomfortable.
The heat will really crank up day by day this week with high temperatures to climb into the low 90s as early as Tuesday. All week we will see 90-degree temperatures with high humidity levels. Some days later in the week may bring some record temperatures as well. By Thursday and Friday our mid-90s will feel closer to 100-degrees with the heat index. Skies will stay mostly sunny all week and rain chances will stay minimal because of an upper level high pressure system which is going to bake us with heat all week long.
